19th century British School

A moody and atmospheric oil depicting the rugged landscape of Snowdon, with steep rocky slopes framing a distant valley below. The artist captures the shifting light and mist characteristic of the Welsh mountains, using a subdued palette of greys, greens, and soft earth tones to convey depth and quiet drama. The composition draws the eye inward toward the distant light breaking through the cloud, lending the scene a sense of scale and solitude.
