An early Victorian ironstone china plate decorated in the Imari palette of cobalt blue, iron red, and gilt. The central medallion features a stylised flowerhead surrounded by scrolling foliage, with further floral sprays extending around the cavetto and broad border. The rim is gilded, adding a refined finish to the bold hand-painted design.
The reverse carries the Ironstone China mark beneath a royal coat of arms, used widely by Staffordshire potters in the 1830s, indicating its English manufacture and quality.
